Danny King is ten years old

Danny King testimonial

It looks like a good day for speedway and that has got to be good news for the Birmingham speedway captain Danny King. As unbelievable as it seems Danny has been riding in British speedway for ten years and has been awarded a testimonial meeting as a reward.

Danny recently told the Birmingham Mail: –

“I can’t believe it’s ten years since I started racing professionally and I would like to thank Birmingham for hosting the event and also my testimonial committee.

“We’ve got a good line-up of riders and I hope to see people of all ages coming along to enjoy the racing. It’s an evening meeting but with the children on holiday from school, the whole family can come along and enjoy themselves.

“I want it to be a good show for the supporters, I want them to go away thinking they’ve had a great night at the speedway. That’s the aim.”

So if you have never experienced speedway get yourself over to Perry Barr and find out what all the fuss is about and bring the kids. It’s an ideal night to do so as the emphasis will be on having fun.

Gates for the event open at 6.45pm, with parade at 7.45pm and the first race at 8pm.
